Civil Engineering in Developing Countries/ k124EDC
In the long run, organizations that work in developing or climatically different countries have to cope with the shortage of civil engineers and experts capable of working in environments that are entirely different in terms of culture, climate, and social and economic arrangements. The course aims to offer basic information about the specifics of working in these regions to students. During the course, we will analyze the specifics of construction approaches in developing countries paying attention, in particular, to distinct climate, to using procedures, materials and organizational approaches not typical for our country as well as other factors different from standards in the Czech Republic (e.g. seismic activity, tsunami, animals, insects, monsoons, absence of utilities, etc.). Students will also learn about other specifics of working in developing countries, climatology, safety and protection of health and the technicalities of project preparation and organization.
Inženýrství v rozvojových zemích XRZ1/XRZ2 – zimní/letní semestr
Předmět přináší základní úvod do problematiky práce v rozvojových zemích, ale i klimaticky, sociálně a ekonomicky odlišných oblastech vůbec. Na toto téma se zaměříme jak z pohledu technického (stavby, energie, hospodaření s vodou, degradace materiálů), tak z pohledu zdravotního, kulturního (mezikulturní komunikace, antropologie, ekonomie) a historického. Zabývat se budeme i praktickými aspekty takovýchto projektů (financování, koordinace, logistika). Předmět je velmi multidisciplinární a součástí budou přednášky odborníků z různých oborů i odborníků z praxe. V rámci praktické části budou studenti připravovat ve skupinách vlastní projekt.
Specializovaný projekt letní semestr k124SPJ2
Zaměříme se na projekt jak z pohledu technického (stavby, energie, hospodaření s vodou, degradace materiálů), tak z pohledu zdravotního, kulturního (mezikulturní komunikace, antropologie, ekonomie) a historického. Zabývat se budeme i praktickými aspekty takovýchto projektů (financování, koordinace, logistika).
